Cellulite is "caused by fibrous connective cords that tether the skin to the underlying muscle, with the fat lying between." As the fat cells accumulate, they push up against the skin, while the long, tough cords are pulling down. This creates an uneven surface or dimpling. Cellulite is often found in areas of high fat deposits and often appears as dimples, due to the uneven fatty tissue. Cellulite is most often found in the thighs, hips, buttocks, and abdomen and occurs in women and men. The only way to improve the look of cellulite is to minimize or eliminate the fatty tissue.

As we age, production of collagen and elastin, which are two proteins that help our skin stay plump, firm and smooth, slows down, resulting in areas of lax, sagging skin on the face, neck, and body. Skin laxity refers to loose skin. The skin is the body’s largest organ, and like the other organs, its health is affected by various factors including age, exposure to toxins, harsh weather, nutrient deficiencies, and poor lifestyle choices.

At For the Love of Me Body Sculpting Studio, non-invasive skin tightening treatments include Ultrasound Energy, Radiofrequency (RF) Energy, and Skin Vacuum Therapy. Skin tightening treatment use focused ultrasound energy, which heats skin at specific depths and locations to induce collagen production and help skin become firmer. Treatments are administered using an ultrasonic tool, which transmits the ultrasound waves through the skin’s surface and Radiofrequency energy to heat the skin and trigger collagen production. In addition, Radiofrequency focuses on epidermal layers to achieve a firmer and smoother appearance.
